Prayer is powerful. Philip Yancey, noted author and speaker, describes this power as a living relationship with all that is. He writes,  “Keeping company with God includes far more than the time I devote to prayer each day.  God is alive all day, living both around me and inside me, speaking in a still, small voice and in other ways I may not even recognize. God is not really silent, we are deaf, says of Teresa of Avila.”  (Prayer, p. 202-203).
